Asbestos Pipe Insulation Removal Company
Asbestos pipe insulation was a very common material that was used to insulate hot water pipes in structures which were built before 1968. This is a residential project with asbestos pipe insulation located on the old radiant heat system. These pipes were in the garage ceiling area where the boiler was located. The abatement of the pipes was performed using glove bags. This is a command tool used in the abatement industry to abatement pipes. The glove bags have a built-in glove which allows the worker to abate the pipes while keeping the asbestos fibers contained within the bag. The glove bags come in many different styles and sizes, and are also equipped with an internal pouch to hold hand tools. The glove bags that are for larger pipes have 2 sets of gloves to allow access to work on each side of the pipe, or that allow 2 people to work on it at the same time. Most glove bags are designed for horizontal, but they do have ones for vertical pipes as well. For long runs of piping, there are continuous run glove bags that have 25 bags connected together. Glove bags may not be idle for piping that is in a boiler room where you are having tanks or large pieces of equipment abated. You may have a project that requires the room to be placed in containment under negative pressure; therefore you would have no need to use a glove bag.
